Tim Horton's Robbery

Ottawa Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public to solve an armed robbery that occurred at a Tim Horton's on Hunt Club Road in Ottawa.

On March 19, 2009 at approximately 9pm two males entered the Tim Horton's restaurant located at 1665 Hunt Club Road, at the intersection with Lorry Greenberg Drive. They threatened customers in the restaurant with a handgun before going into the cooking area where they demanded money from the staff. Before the staff could retrieve the cash the suspects decided to leave the restaurant on foot.

The first suspect was an olive skinned young male about 16-18 years of age. He was about 5'10" tall and weighed about 150 lbs. He was wearing glasses and a black winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood. He had pulled his white t-shirt over his mouth and nose and carried what could be a handgun. He also wore dark jeans, black leather gloves and white running shoes.

The second suspect was a young black male about 16-18 years of age. He stood about 5'10" tall, weighed approximately 160 lbs, and had dark brown curly hair. He wore a brown jacket with a light coloured pattern on the front. He also wore dark pants and light coloured boots. He too had pulled his white t-shirt over half of his face.

Ottawa Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public to solve two thefts that occurred at the same Canadian Tire Store located on Campeau Drive in Kanata.

On April 18, 2009 at approximately 1:45pm a young man was seen on video entering the Canadian Tire Store located at 8181 Campeau Drive in Kanata. He was observed proceeding to the Auto section where he examined the Garmin GPS units on the shelf. After going to the washroom he then returned to the same area where he removed nine GPS units, worth about $3000, from the shelf and ran out of the store via the rear door of the store. An alarm sounded as he left but when staff arrived a few moments later there was no sign of the man.

On May 8, almost three weeks later, two suspects entered the store at 3:41 pm via the service entrance and proceeded to the electronics section. The stocky suspect was seen using his cell phone and after he finished his conversation he grabbed a boxed TV set, worth about $800, and walked quickly down the aisle toward the rear of the store. He then exited the store via the warehouse section, with the aid of his accomplice, to the street outside at 3:45pm. Tire marks were found outside the building near the exit door of the warehouse section where the thieves had made their exit.

The first suspect was a white male, 25 to 30 years old, slim build weighing about 140 lbs and wore dark clothing and a baseball cap with a logo on the peak. At the second theft the same suspect was identified as wearing the same baseball cap but on this occasion he had a beard and wore a green long sleeved shirt.

The second suspect was a white male of approximately the same age 25-30 years, but was heavier set, weighing about 180 lbs. He had a black goatee beard and wore a dark blue t-shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap.

Ottawa Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in solving a mischief crime to an OC Transpo bus shelter located on Woodbridge Crescent near the Bayshore Shopping Centre.

Early on the morning of January 28, 2009 police were called to the scene of a mischief crime at a bus shelter located at 50 Woodbridge Crescent in west Ottawa.
The bus shelter is linked to the Bayshore Mall and in clear view of those using public transport. The shelter in question had been spray painted all over its front windows and concrete panels with lewd expressions directed at OC Transpo. It was clear that this had been done sometime during the night. A video for the period in question clearly shows a suspect walking his dog and spray-painting the bus shelter. Damages are estimated to be approximately $5000.

09-45116 photo.docOttawa Police Service is seeking the assistance of the public in solving a number of armed robberies that have occurred at the same Food Frenz convenience store located on Carling Avenue in west Ottawa.

One of these robberies took place on February 19, 2009 at about midnight, when two suspects burst through the main entrance to the store, located at 2910 Carling Avenue, and proceeded to threaten the store attendant and rob him of cash and goods. Other customers were in the store at the time of the robbery. One of the suspects ransacked the shelves for cigarettes and the other brandished a handgun in the face of the clerk demanding cash. After accumulating sufficient cigarettes in a bag, the suspects then fled the store on foot on Grenon Avenue toward Penny Drive in the Ritchie Street Projects.

The first suspect was a black male, stood about 6' 1" to 6'2", weighed about 170 lbs and wore a black winter jacket with a fur lined hood pulled up. He had blue jeans on and wore white running shoes. He spoke English, without an accent.

The second suspect was a black male, in his mid 20's, stood about 5'9", and weighed about 150 lbs. He had short black curly hair and wore a grey waist-length puffy jacket and blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers and the Gatineau Police Service are seeking your help in solving an incident of shoplifting and of pointing of a firearm.


During the evening of the 27 of February 2009 at 6:30 PM, a male suspect attended one of the stores in the Promenades de l'Outaouais shopping mall located at 1100 Maloney Blv West. The suspect shoplifted and he ran out of the mall. Two loss prevention officers saw this and they began to pursue the suspect. They caught up to him near the Casa Grecque Restaurant on Bellehumeur Street. The suspect then drew a handgun and pointed it at the loss prevention officers. After warning the officers not to pursue him anymore the suspect left the area heading southbound on Bellehumeur.

The suspect is described as an 18 year-old Latino male, wearing a blue ball cap and coat.

Crime Stoppers and the Gatineau Police Service are seeking your assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in an indecent exposure and an attempted robbery.

On the 19 February 2009 at 11:30 PM, a female employee of the Buckingham Hospital located at 150 Maclaren Street East, in Buckingham, parked her vehicle in the rear parking lot. As she exited her car a male suspect approached her and said: "look I have something for you". He then opened his coat and exposed himself. The suspect then grabbed the employee's purse and a struggle ensued. The employee began to scream and the suspect fled without the victim's purse.

The suspect is described as a white 50 year-old male, 5'5", 130 lbs, reddish beard, short black hair, dressed in dark clothing with a ball cap.

(ST-ISIDORE, ON.) - The Hawkesbury OPP Detachment is presently investigating an attempted Break and Entry that occurred at the Scotiabank located in St-Isidore on the evening of January 16, 2009.

A person entered the ATM entrance of the bank and drilled a hole in a door leading into the bank. It is possible that the suspect may have been surprised by someone or something and left the area. No entry to the bank was made.

The damage to the door was discovered by ATM technicians on the following day and police were called to investigate. Nothing was stolen.

Photos of the suspect were taken by the bank surveillance system. Police believe that the same individual(s) may have been responsible for other ATM thefts in the area during past several months.

THEFT IN CATHERINE STREET RESIDENCE


(Hawkesbury, ON) - On the 21st of March 2009 between 2:00 pm and 9:15 pm,a group of suspects broke into a Catherine Street residence that is located near Aberdeen Street in the Town of Hawkesbury.

The burglars entered the house by breaking the rear door and then proceeded inside where they stole an undisclosed amount of money.

The criminals are believed to have made their escape by exiting through the backyard.

Break and Enter

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your help in solving a "break and enter" that occurred at 1025 Grenon Ave.

Sometime between 5 PM and 7 PM on the 26 of January 2009, a break and enter occurred at 1025 Grenon Avenue apartment 202. At that time four males kicked open the unit's front door and then they gained entry to apartment unit. Once inside the apartment a video game console, several games and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. The male suspects were caught on surveillance video entering and leaving the property. It also appears that these individuals were loitering in the apartment lobby prior to the break and enter.

The suspects are described as 20-year-old males, 3 blacks and 1 white, all of the suspects were wearing dark pants and dark hooded jackets. One of the suspects wore a distinctive San Antonio Spurs hat.

Theft of ATM

Crime Stoppers and the Ottawa Police Service are seeking your assistance in solving a theft of an Automatic Teller Machine from a restaurant on Bank Street.

On the 13 of December 2008 at 5 AM a lone white male suspect drove to Ralph's Bar located at 571 Bank Street in the City of Ottawa. He arrived in the vacant parking lot in a stolen van. A surveillance video shows the suspect backing up near the entrance door to the bar and exiting the van. He smashed the door's glass with an axe and gained entry to the restaurant/bar. He then attached a chain around the ATM and the van's rear bumper. The ATM was pulled outside where the suspect loaded the ATM into the van and drove away from the scene. The van and the ATM were recovered on Fenton Road, Ottawa. The ATM had been cut open and the money removed.

The suspect is described as a white male, slim build and of medium height.
